Club members in Smiths Falls and
area have enjoyed curling and socializing together since the
club originated in 1879. The first club members curled on
the Rideau River at Jasper Avenue and River Street. The club moved to Winnifred Street. Later a new building was constructed on James Street. In 1947 the first artificial ice was installed. The present facility located at 13 Old Slys Road was completed in 1979 including both curling and squash facilities. |
